About Marcus
My name is Marcus Perkins, a veteran photographer with more than 35 years' experience working on assignments all over the world. As I approach retirement and reduce the number of assignments I choose to accept, I enjoy helping new photographers, sharing with them the skills I've learned along the way.
Why Canon? I’ve relied on Canon cameras for my professional work across more than 140 countries. From the original EOS-1 film bodies right through to the latest EOS R1, I’ve learned to understand their strengths and limitations and I feel qualified to share this knowledge with you. While Canon isn’t objectively “better” than any other brand, it remains the system that consistently aligns best with the work that I choose to do.

We will work together on a photo project of your choice. I can help you to improve your technique, encourage your creativity, and increase your understanding of the Canon equipment you choose to use.
Face-to-face tuition is far more effective for practical learning although online sessions are available too. The first hour is free without any obligation to continue. This will give me the opportunity to understand your interests and the areas in which you are seeking to improve.
