About Kyle
Hi, I'm Kyle, an English tutor based in Ottawa with a BA degree (Honors) from Carleton University. I'm fluent in English and French, so I understand how languages work and what it takes to communicate clearly across them.
My lessons focus on helping you speak English with confidence. Hi! I'm a bilingual Canadian tutor (English and French) with a BA (Honours) from Carleton University, and I help learners speak English clearly and confidently. My lessons are practical and conversation-based, focused on real-life situations like job interviews, workplace meetings, phone calls and everyday small talk.
A typical lesson starts with a short warm-up chat, then we work on a goal you choose: pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar in context, or role-playing a real scenario such as an interview or a presentation. I give gentle, clear corrections as we go and finish with a quick recap and a short speaking task to practice before our next session.
What sets me apart is my professional communication background. I've worked as a team lead, in insurance claims, and in fundraising, so I know how people speak in real workplaces and customer conversations, and I teach the English you'll actually use.
My lessons are for teens and adults of all levels, from beginners building confidence to advanced speakers polishing fluency, accent and professional communication. I'm patient, encouraging and flexible, and I tailor every lesson to your goals.
