About Veda

I am a dedicated violinist with over 15 years of training in both Carnatic and Western music, combining strong classical foundations with a modern musical outlook. I completed my BA and MA in Music (Violin) with 1st rank, reflecting both my academic commitment and depth in the subject.

I have been a disciple of renowned Carnatic violinist Trissur C. Rajendran for over a decade, which has deeply shaped my approach to both performance and teaching. I also hold 8th-grade certifications in Western Violin and Piano from Trinity College London, allowing me to guide students across multiple musical styles with clarity and confidence.

Alongside teaching and performing, I actively create and produce music and have received a diploma in Music production, Mixing and Mastering at VTP Sound Academy, which helps me bring a fresh, practical and engaging perspective to my lessons. I value discipline, consistency and creativity, and I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel motivated and confident in their musical journey.

About the lesson

My classes are guided by a strong foundation in both traditional Carnatic violin and contemporary music, helping students build solid technique while also encouraging creativity and personal expression. With over 15 years of musical training and academic distinction, I bring a structured yet flexible approach to teaching.

I focus on essential elements such as bowing, fingering, intonation, and rhythm, along with stylistic understanding in both Carnatic and Western violin. I also incorporate elements of modern music and performance to make learning more engaging and relevant.

A typical class includes warm-ups, technical exercises, repertoire learning, and guided practice, ensuring steady and consistent progress. I adapt each lesson to suit the student’s level, goals, and pace of learning.

My classes are ideal for complete beginners to intermediate players who wish to develop strong fundamentals while exploring a unique blend of Carnatic and Western violin styles.
