About Madhumitha
I am a passionate music educator with extensive training in both Carnatic and Western music. My goal is to help students discover the joy of music—whether they are beginners or advanced learners—by blending traditional techniques with modern, interactive methods. I teach Carnatic vocal, keyboard, and music theory, and I strive to create a supportive and inspiring environment for all ages. My lessons are designed to build a strong musical foundation while encouraging creativity and confidence in every student.

My teaching approach is rooted in a blend of structure and creativity, drawing from over 12 years of advanced training in Carnatic music and formal certification in Western music theory and keyboard. I tailor my lessons to each student's level and learning style, combining traditional techniques with interactive exercises such as improvisation and aural skills practice.
A typical lesson lasts between 45 minutes to one hour, allowing enough time for both technical instruction and musical exploration. My qualifications include Grade 4 certifications in both practical keyboard and music theory from Trinity College London, as well as extensive experience performing and teaching Carnatic vocal and instrumental music.
I welcome students of all ages and levels, from beginners eager to build a strong foundation to advanced learners seeking to master complex concepts like Kalpana Swaras, Pancharathna Keerthanais, and Aalapanas. My goal is to nurture a deep appreciation for both Carnatic and Western musical traditions, helping each student grow as a confident and expressive musician.
