About Daniel

I'm a CPL holder with a current Flight Instructor Rating & work out of Moorabbin.
I have helped students understand material from Meteorology, concepts for Navigation, and correct use of charts for Weight & Balance and Performance at RPL, PPL & CPL level.

I am currently studying ATPL so am also able to highlight how what is being learnt fits in to the whole picture.

About the lesson

I have an excellent understanding of the theoretical knowledge and practical applications for each of the RPL, PPL and CPL licenses.

My lessons are geared towards students at any level or stage in their studies; whether that be RPL or all the way through to CPL.

Each session is tailored to what the individual student needs to understand and pass their exam(s). As a result, what each session looks like for each student may be different.

However, I believe that having a practical knowledge of the theory is the best way to learn it, so wherever possible, I attempt to make the theory relevant to your flying.

Subjects covered include:
BAK (Basic Aeronautical Knowledge);
Meteorology;
Navigation;
Air Law;
Performance incl. weight & balance and performance charts;
Aerodynamics;
AGK (Aircraft General Knowledge); and
Human Factors.

Details

Cancellations within 24 hours notice of the session may incur a fee for the first hour of tuition.

Students are expected to have their own equipment required for the lesson. This may include navigation ruler & protractor, pens/pencil, eraser, note pad etc. Upon booking, I will advise what will be required. In some instances, I may be able to provide equipment.

For online tutorials, I use Zoom. This is compatible on both Mac & PC. With this, I am able to demonstrate to you how to complete weight & balance charts, P-charts (take-off and landing) and use of the CR3 style flight calculator.

*This is remedial theory and not a replacement for attending ground theory classes. I will work with you to help you understand the topics you are having difficulty with.
