About Hannah
I am an active performer, educator, and artist in the Ithaca area. I have performed in principal positions for various large ensembles at Boston Conservatory at Berklee. I've held fellowships at Texas Music Festival and Atlantic Music Festival and recently received an invitation to attend the National Repertory Orchestra for their 2020 Summer Season. While attending the conservatory, I premiered works by student composers and alumni from Boston Conservatory and took part in the Interdisciplinary Arts Institute at Berklee College of Music. I'm currently on faculty at the Portsmouth Music and Arts Center in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Brookline Adult and Community Education, and Maestro Musicians. I envision a studio of diverse students of all ages, income levels, and abilities. I earned my Bachelor of Music in cello performance at The University of Louisville (2016) and graduated from Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a Master of Music in Cello Performance (2019). I then went on to receive a Professional Studies Certificate from Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where I studied with Andrew Mark of the Portland String Quartet.

As an educator, I believe that students of all backgrounds, ages, etc. deserve the opportunity for music lessons and enrichment. My favorite part about private lessons is working with a student to discover their learning styles. From there, we can uncover their artistic potential and enjoyment of music.

Finding Hannah has been such a gift! She teaching my daughter at the same time that my daughter started her orchestra classes at school. I really believe that the reason my daughter LOVES playing the cello is due to Hannah’s amazing teaching. My daughter is learning to play beautiful music and advanced techniques that are far outpacing anything she’s been exposed to at school so far. Hannah has made the lessons so much fun, even going out of her way to help my daughter learn special songs that she is especially interested in. My daughter loves her lessons with Hannah so much we added another lesson day each week to keep up with her excitement! Definitely 100% recommend Hannah for anyone looking to learn or improve in cello!
