About Jan

My name is Jan, cellist from Poland. I earned my Master’s degree in Poland and am currently studying at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, where I also develop my chamber music skills. Since 2024, I have been principal cellist of the Morphing Chamber Orchestra in Vienna and a member of the Vienna Morphing Soloists. I have performed in prestigious concert halls across Europe and worldwide, including the Wiener Konzerthaus, Les Invalides in Paris, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, QPAC in Brisbane, Austrian Embassy in Canberra. I also had the incredible opportunity to perform at the 2025 World Economic Forum in Davos, sharing the stage with Yo-Yo Ma. I am the Grand Prix winner and recipient of multiple special awards at the Prague International Cello Competition in 2020, as well as other national and international competitions.

About the lesson

I graduated from the Academy of Music in Łódź, Poland, and I am now finishing my second Master’s degree at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg, one of the finest music schools in the world, where I have the pleasure of studying and working alongside some of the most accomplished musicians. I have completed pedagogical studies and have over 200 hours of teaching experience with students of all levels, from beginners to college-level musicians. As principal cellist of the Morphing Chamber Orchestra, I can also help students prepare for auditions. Typical lessons are 60 minutes long, and I focus on technique, musicality, and expression, aiming to inspire and support each student on their cello journey.
