About Chrysoula

I am due to receive my degree in Cellular and Molecular Medicine. I have extensive experience working as a mentor for students. I worked for 2 years with younger students as a Bilingual Student Mentor and as a Reading Support Volunteer; these positions helped me develop the necessary skills for transferring knowledge and tutoring. For the last 3 years, I have worked as a Study Sessions Leader with First Year university students, helping them adapt to the university environment as well as to make the best of their course and support their professional development. I have extensive knowledge and personal and professional experience with the new format of the UKCAT while my degree has equipped me with a very strong background in medical science. I am eager to share that knowledge and experience with incoming students.

About the lesson

I base my classes on the needs of my students and their way of learning. Firstly, I like to set a shared goal with my students and discuss with them their expectations of the lessons. Secondly, I try to get to know how my students learn and what are their academic strengths and weaknesses, to enhance the former and work hard on the latter. I always prepare resources and a tutoring plan in advance but I am flexible when needing to adapt the flow of the session based on my students' needs. I am a friendly person and encourage an open discussion with all of my tutees. I have worked with students of various ages from primary school to university level and I am confident using my teaching skills on students of all academic backgrounds. I put a lot of effort in my work to help you achieve your best potential, and if you have a question beyond my expertise and breadth of knowledge I will help you find correct guidance and the support you need.

For UKCAT preparation, I will give you a large amount of material that I have prepared and tailored to your needs to work through together but I may recommend you purchase extra material that will help you prepare online and on paper. Although I will try to adapt my recommendations depending on your budget and current level of preparation, the cost of this extra material is not included in the tuition fee.
