About Elondreya
I bring both classroom experience and a deep commitment to student success to every tutoring session. As a certified mathematics teacher currently pursuing my Master’s in Educational Leadership, I have a strong academic foundation paired with real-world teaching practice. I have worked with a wide range of learners—from middle and high school students to adult learners in entry-level college math, business math, and calculus—so I understand how to adapt instruction to meet each student’s unique needs.
My approach is structured, patient, and results-driven. I focus on building confidence first, because I believe every student can succeed in math with the right support. I break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps, check for understanding frequently, and provide guided practice to ensure mastery. I also incorporate strategies that help students become independent problem-solvers, not just memorize procedures.
Professionalism is at the core of my work. I come prepared to every session, communicate clearly and respectfully, and maintain high expectations while offering consistent encouragement. I track progress, provide feedback, and adjust instruction to ensure each student is making measurable gains.

My approach is centered on patience, clarity, and building confidence. I truly believe in my motto: “It’s okay to not know, but it’s not okay to not try.” I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes—because that’s where real learning happens.
Teaching Method & Techniques
I use a step-by-step, scaffolded approach to break down complex concepts into manageable parts. My instruction includes:
Clear, guided examples followed by independent practice
Real-world connections to make math meaningful
Targeted strategies for test-taking (STAAR, SAT, TSI)
Identifying and correcting misconceptions early
Encouraging students to explain their thinking to deepen understanding
I adjust my teaching style based on each student’s learning needs—whether they need more structure, repetition, or challenge.
Typical Lesson Structure
Each session is organized and purposeful:
Warm-up/Review – Reinforce previously learned skills
Mini-Lesson – Teach or reteach a key concept in a clear, simple way demonstrating expectations
Guided Practice – Work through problems together step-by-step
Independent Practice – Student applies skills with support as needed
Feedback & Strategy – Immediate corrections, tips, and encouragement
For test prep students, I also include timed practice and exam strategies.
