About Sunny

I have a master's degree in linguistics from one of China's TOP10 universities, an English teacher's qualification, and a TCSOL qualification. I have been teaching English in an international high school in China for five years and receiving tons of positive feedback from students and parents. Meanwhile, I taught a couple of my foreign colleagues Chinese language and culture. We all enjoyed our time together.
Last summer I went to Nepal and Indonesia for short-term Chinese teaching programs and the students there really inspired my passion to teach my mother language. I hope more people around the world could learn our language and know more about China. Especially, I hope I could become one unofficial "ambassador" to show you the beauty of this language and this country. (Well, even if you learn English with me, you get to know a nice Chinese person who can speak for her country!)
BTW, I love traveling and meeting people from all cultural backgrounds.

As a teacher in real life, I adopt student-centered, communicative, engaging and motivating teaching methods in my classroom. As an online tutor, my plan should depend on what my students bring in: They come with their problems or difficulties and I will make individualized plans for them.
My lessons are for those who want to improve their Chinese or English language proficiency (for any kind of purpose), or those who want to learn more about China and Chinese culture from a Chinese person. My advantage as a tutor is that I am a qualified and experienced teacher whose native language is Chinese and speaks fluent English (which means, if you want to learn Chinese and you speak English, things will be much easier).
