About Hannah
I'm a current high school art teacher with 7 years of experience helping students build both skill and confidence in their creative work. While I teach a variety of media, my personal passion lies in observational and portrait drawing. I aim to make every lesson a relaxed, engaging space where we can enjoy the process of making art together. I love connecting with students, encouraging their growth, and celebrating the unique voice each artist brings to the page.

As a tutor, I focus on teaching foundational skills in observational drawing through a TAB-based (Teaching for Artistic Behavior) approach, which encourages student choice and artistic independence. I believe in nurturing both technical skill and creative voice—helping you learn how to think like an artist, not just act like one.
A typical lesson is shaped around your interests and goals. Whether you want to improve realistic shading, explore composition, or develop your own style, we’ll collaborate to design projects that are both skill-building and personally meaningful. I’ll provide demonstrations, individualized feedback, and structured guidance to help you grow with each session.
These lessons are perfect for middle and high school students preparing for portfolio submissions, art classes, or personal growth—as well as adults who are returning to art or starting fresh. My goal is to give you the tools and confidence to create work you love, while building a strong foundation in visual art.
