About JUDGE
Hello! My name is Judge, and I am a dedicated and experienced American Sign Language (ASL) tutor with over 12 years of interpreting and teaching experience. I began my journey in sign language through a non-profit organization over a decade ago, and since then, I’ve helped children, adults, and families learn to communicate effectively using ASL. My mission is to make learning sign language both accessible and enjoyable, especially for parents and their little ones. I bring patience, clarity, and a supportive attitude to every session. Whether you're completely new to ASL or looking to help your infant begin their communication journey, I tailor my lessons to meet your unique needs. Professionalism, empathy, and a deep respect for Deaf culture are at the heart of my teaching. As a passionate ASL tutor, I specialize in teaching sign language to infants and their families using engaging, research-backed techniques that make learning fun and practical. My approach blends play-based activities, visual aids, music, and everyday routines to help babies and toddlers understand and express their needs through signs—long before they can speak.
A typical lesson includes a warm-up activity (like a song with signs), introduction of 3–5 new signs related to a daily theme (e.g., food, emotions, family), interactive games for reinforcement, and parent guidance on how to incorporate signs at home. Each session is paced to suit the child’s attention span and developmental stage, ensuring it’s both enriching and enjoyable.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my deep cultural and practical knowledge of ASL, combined with a nurturing, patient approach designed specifically for early learners. I understand how to communicate with children at their level and help parents feel confident using sign language daily.
These lessons are perfect for parents of infants and toddlers aged 6 months to 3 years who want to support their child’s communication skills, reduce frustration, and foster early language development through American Sign Language.
