About Mandy
Hello! My name is Mandy, and I’m a patient and encouraging reading tutor with a Bachelor of Arts degree. I enjoy helping students build confidence and skills step by step, whether they are young learners in grades K–8 or English language learners developing reading fluency. I create a calm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace. My goal is to help every learner feel capable, motivated, and proud of their growth.

I am a BA-educated reading and English tutor who focuses on building confidence, comprehension, and real-world language skills in a supportive environment. My lessons are designed for K–8 students and English-as-a-second-language learners who want patient, encouraging, immersive instruction.
A typical lesson includes guided reading practice, vocabulary building, pronunciation support, and short writing or conversation activities tailored to each learner’s level.
I adjust pacing carefully so students feel successful and motivated.
What sets me apart is my calm, encouraging style and my ability to meet learners where they are—whether they need help strengthening reading foundations, improving fluency, or gaining confidence using English in everyday situations. I believe learning works best when students feel safe, understood, and supported.
