About Caitlin
My background spans youth work, education, and business, and I’m passionate about creating positive, empowering environments where students thrive. I founded and managed a childcare business, working with children of all abilities, including those with learning challenges. This experience honed my skills in program development, personalizing support, and fostering social and emotional growth. In addition to tutoring, I run two businesses—Cornerstone English Tutoring and Cornerstone Creatives—both reflecting my love for education and creativity.
My approach to teaching is hybrid and unconventional, blending online and in-person methods, prioritizing intentionality and out-of-the-box thinking. I believe in building strong relationships with my students, similar to a form of discipleship, and I am committed to monitoring their well-being throughout the learning process.

At Cornerstone English Tutoring, I provide personalized English lessons for learners of all ages and backgrounds, including children, youth, adults, and overseas learners. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced student, I offer tailored lessons to meet your specific goals and help you communicate confidently in English.
My teaching methodology centers on building strong foundational skills that support fluency and confidence. Through interactive lessons and real-world practice, I focus on conversational English, grammar, vocabulary, and listening comprehension. I use a mix of techniques, such as role-playing, conversation practice, and targeted exercises, to make learning engaging and practical. This is not a one-size-fits-all approach!
Lessons are typically 45 minutes to an hour long, with flexibility based on your availability and needs. My qualifications include a Level 5 TEFL diploma and ongoing teacher training equivalent to CELTA/Trinity CertTESOL. With experience working with diverse learners, I am dedicated to providing high-quality, empathetic instruction that ensures each student thrives.
