About Tanya

Hi, I’m Tanya — a certified personal trainer and online fitness coach with international experience helping people build strength, confidence, and sustainable health habits. I’ve worked with a wide range of clients, from complete beginners to experienced gym-goers, both online and in luxury resort environments, where high standards of service and personalization are essential.

My background includes working as a personal trainer and fitness instructor at One&Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives, as well as coaching clients online from around the world. I specialize in strength training, structured workout programming, hybrid training, mobility, and realistic nutrition habits that support long-term progress rather than short-term fixes.

What I care most about as a coach is creating a supportive and educational environment. I don’t just give you a plan — I help you understand how to train properly, fuel your body, and stay consistent in real life. Whether your goal is fat loss, building strength, improving fitness, or simply feeling more confident in the gym, I focus on making the process clear, achievable, and enjoyable.

My approach to coaching is practical, personalised, and focused on long-term results rather than quick fixes. I believe everyone trains and lives differently, so my lessons are always adapted to your goals, experience level, lifestyle, and available equipment. What makes my teaching style unique is that I focus not only on what to do, but also why you’re doing it, so you build confidence and independence in your training and nutrition.

I offer private lessons in strength training, general fitness, mobility, and nutrition basics, either online or in person (where available). Sessions can include workout programming, exercise technique, gym confidence, building a weekly routine, or improving nutrition habits to support your training. My methodology combines structured programming with education and realistic habit building, so progress feels achievable and sustainable.

I am fluent in English and Afrikaans.

In a typical lesson, we start by discussing your goals, background, and any challenges you’re facing. From there, I guide you through exercises, movement corrections, training structure, or nutrition strategies depending on your needs. You can expect clear explanations, a supportive environment, and practical tools you can apply immediately.

My lessons are aimed at beginners through to intermediate and advanced trainees. Whether you’re new to the gym, returning after time off, travelling with limited equipment, or ready to take your strength training to the next level, I tailor each session to meet you where you are and help you progress safely and confidently.
