About Ibrahim
I am a traditionally trained Arabic calligrapher with over 10 years of experience in Arabic calligraphy. I trained under world-renowned calligraphers and have continued to develop my practice through dedicated study, practice, and participation in calligraphy competitions.
My training includes an Ijazah (Icazet), reflecting the traditional teacher-to-student transmission of Arabic calligraphy. I specialise particularly in the Naskh and Thuluth scripts and place great importance on preserving the principles, proportions and techniques of traditional calligraphy.
I have also participated in Arabic calligraphy competitions and have experience connected with the IRCICA calligraphy tradition and competitions. These experiences have deepened both my technical understanding and appreciation of Arabic calligraphy as an artistic discipline.
I enjoy helping students develop their skills patiently and systematically. My aim is to continue to help each learner understand not only how to reproduce beautiful letters, but also the underlying principles of proportion, pen control, stroke construction, spacing and composition.
Whether you are a complete beginner, a young learner or an experienced student wishing to improve, I will adapt the lessons to your level and help you progress through structured practice and detailed correction.

Each lesson lasts 45 minutes and focuses on traditional Arabic calligraphy in Naskh and Thuluth scripts. I begin with a clear demonstration of the correct technique, followed by guided practice tailored to the student’s level. I provide detailed correction throughout the lesson, helping students understand letter proportions, pen angle, stroke direction, spacing and composition rather than simply copying examples.
Lessons are suitable for beginners and learners who already have some experience. I work patiently and progressively, adapting exercises to each student’s ability and goals. Whether you are learning Arabic calligraphy as a creative skill, developing your handwriting, or seeking a deeper understanding of traditional Naskh and Thuluth, each session is structured to help you make measurable progress.
