About Laurel
As a certified yoga teacher and licensed acupuncturist, it is very important for me to approach my work with care, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility toward the people I teach. Years of experience have taught me how important it is to move at the right pace, communicate clearly, and create a sense of trust. My aim is always to offer thoughtful, well-guided sessions where students feel supported, respected, and confident in the process.

I take a compassionate, individualized approach to teaching movement, with a focus on helping students feel safer, stronger, and more at ease in their bodies. My goal is not to push or strain, but to support sustainable progress.
My teaching approach combines yoga-informed stretching, functional strengthening, and mindful movement. I emphasize listening to the body rather than pushing, so students can build confidence while reducing pain, stiffness, or stress.
A typical lesson begins with a brief check-in to understand how you’re feeling that day and what you’d like to focus on. From there, I design the session around your needs — for example improving mobility, relieving tension, rebuilding strength, or supporting relaxation. Sessions may also include optional acupressure techniques to support further relaxation or tension relief.
What sets me apart is my depth of experience and my ability to adapt movement to real bodies and real lives. I have over 20 years of experience teaching movement and working with people dealing with pain, stress, hormonal changes, or in recovery. I offer a calm, respectful learning environment where progress happens without pressure.
My lessons are for adults of all levels, including beginners and those returning to movement after a break. I especially enjoy working with midlife women, individuals managing stress or chronic tension, and postnatal students. No prior experience is required — lessons are always adapted to your comfort and goals.
