About Haiyue

Hi! I’m Haiyue. If you’re looking for a tutor who is patient, easy to talk to, and culturally aware, you’re in the right place!

I have practical experience teaching Mandarin to foreigners and English to Chinese students. Having studied in both the US and Europe, I can speak English fluently. My own journey of learning languages across different continents allows me to understand exactly where students get stuck and how to explain tricky concepts clearly.

What I offer:

Global Perspective: My background in Sociology and my experience living in various cultures make me a teacher who deeply respects diversity.

Standard Pronunciation: I hold a National Mandarin Certificate. I’ll help you master tones and sound like a native speaker.

Topic-Rich Lessons: I am a passionate traveler and a natural conversationalist. We can explore Culture, Geography, and History, or chat about my hobbies like Travel, Calligraphy, Hiking and Baking.

Beginner-Friendly: I specialize in making complex grammar simple. Whether you are an adult or a kid, I’ll customize the lessons to fit your pace.

I believe learning a language is the best way to travel the world. Let’s start our journey together!

About the lesson

I design each lesson to be highly personalized, ensuring the materials and pace perfectly match your individual goals. My teaching methodology is grounded in the Communicative Approach and Immersive Learning, making the language both practical and easy to grasp.

Lessons go beyond the textbook. I integrate a variety of multimedia resources, including news articles, videos, and social media trends, to ensure you learn "living" Chinese. For students with specific goals—such as HSK preparation, travel planning, or improving speaking confidence—I adapt the content to ensure those objectives are met efficiently.

The sessions can cover:
General Daily Conversation & Fluency
Pronunciation Correction & Accent Reduction
Chinese Traditional Culture
Contemporary Society & Internet Slang
Travel & Lifestyle

My goal is to create a supportive and engaging environment where you feel comfortable speaking from day one. Whether you are a total beginner or an advanced learner, let’s make your Chinese learning journey both enjoyable and relevant!
