About me
Konnichiwa! Do you feel you've hit a wall even though you've already studied Japanese on your own? Do you like to improve your Japanese for work, interviews, study or business? I'm a certified Japanese language teacher w/ writing and Business Background, plus JLPT guidance, who has the skills, experience and tools to effectively teach Japanese, from beginner to JLPT N1. I have more than 5 years of experience. Also, I've been into Haikyu!! and SPY×FAMILY. What's your favourite?

Teaching Style

I am experienced in teaching Japanese to foreigners from beginner to advanced levels. I have been helping so many students reach their goals of learning Japanese, gaining a strong foundation of the language, getting to know more about Japanese culture and having the confidence to speak in Japanese!

My approach is to teach you Japanese based on "your individual goals" and "the type of learner you are" because different strokes for different folks, and everyone learns differently. I would like my students to have a good time while they rack their brains, so I plan to use a variety of methods.

Generally, it will include conversation, reading comprehension, pronunciation and grammar drills. The materials used also reflect the student's interests and specific needs. I like to bring in different topics: literature, movies, music, manga, food, outdoors, travel and so on.
By the way, I have a cat. I love animals.

I also will use some PDF files and internet links to supplement lessons. I can set homework as needed.

About Me:

I am originally from Japan but currently live in New Zealand.

I’ve been teaching Japanese to my friends and their kids for many years online and in person. I enjoyed it so much that I became a professional Japanese teacher.

Academic Degree:

- Bachelor’s degrees in Economics, International Economics,

Chuo University (Tokyo)

Completed all the requirements of the Japanese Language Teacher Training Course (420 hours above) at a Japanese government-accredited training institution

Working Experiences:

- Full-timer at a Telecommunications Carrier

- Copywriter at a German Apparel Company in Japan

- Full-timer at a Japanese company that focuses on correspondence education and publishing.

- Part-timer at an international project between a local government and National University

I usually work as a copywriter and translator. Having worked at several companies or institutions for more than 10 years, I can teach effective speaking and creative writing in Japanese, Business Japanese, CV (履歴書), and a cover letter.

I am very patient, open-minded, and calm. Moreover, I always try to stay positive. People often find me approachable.
