[Accepting Our Asymmetry: My Journey]
Hello! I’m Hyunju. My journey started with a 10-year struggle with chronic back pain, sciatica, and pelvic floor dysfunction. Like many of you, I tried Classical Pilates, but it didn't solve my complex issues. My life changed when I discovered the PRI (Postural Restoration Institute) approach. I learned that our bodies are naturally asymmetrical, and instead of fighting against it, we must learn how to restore balance through positioning.

[A Detailed and Caring Approach]
I am known for my detailed and observant teaching style. Even through a screen, I can sense when something feels "off" for you. I might suggest, "Roll up a small towel and place it under your left hip," or "Shift your ribcage by just an inch." My students often say, "I didn't even have to say I was uncomfortable; you already knew." This "silent understanding" is what makes my online sessions feel as precise and personal as an in-person class.

Hello! I’m Hyunju. With 10 years of experience, my goal is to help your body find a state of true comfort and ease. Rather than just "fixing" a symptom, I focus on helping you understand how your body can feel balanced and relaxed again through better positioning.

[My Holistic Approach: Finding Your Comfort]
Many of us feel "stuck" or "tense" because our body has lost its natural rhythm. My method focuses on:

Natural Positioning: Aligning your ribs and pelvis so your muscles can finally let go of unnecessary tension.

Diaphragm & Breath: Training your diaphragm to move freely, restoring the natural rhythm of your ribcage, shoulders, and pelvis—healing the whole body.

Movement for Real Life: Sensing the right muscles during our session so that in real life, no matter the circumstances, your work and daily errands don't dictate your body's comfort.

[My Typical 45-50 Minute Lesson Plan]

Body Assessment (7-10 min): We will check the alignment of your shoulders and pelvis to see your current positioning. This is a time for us to get to know your body's unique story.

Release & Preparation (10 min): Targeted movements and stretching to calm down overactive muscles and prepare your body for deeper work.

Main Movement & Rhythm (20 min): Exercises to restore the natural rhythm of your diaphragm and sensing the essential muscles used for healthy, daily walking.

Daily Life Integration (7-10 min): I will recommend specific exercises and posture tips tailored for when you are sitting at your desk, driving, or doing homework.

What sets me apart is my 10-year journey of overcoming my own chronic back pain. I know exactly what it feels like to be uncomfortable, and I know the path to finding ease again. I’m here to listen to your body’s story and guide you toward a more comfortable and balanced life.
