About Julie
I’m a wife and mother of two boys. My boys are now 17 and 18. I love the outdoors. I enjoy hunting, golfing, watching baseball, going to high school and college wrestling matches and spending time with my family.
I like doing creative things. I hold a B.S. in Graphic Design.

My years of experience assessing student reading and writing achievement will help me determine your specific reading and writing needs. Your student might need help with reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, phonics or phonemic awareness. My lessons are strategically planned to improve language comprehension and word recognition which will lead to a more confident reader. I have been trained to use ECRI and Orton Gillingham strategies that help students with dyslexia and learning disabilities. I also have completed training on the Science of Reading.
My goal is to make learning fun. I use my creativity and passion to make and incorporate games into each lesson. Students can anticipate engaging activities (ex. phonics games, vocabulary games, stories that are interesting, multi-sensory activities, etc.).
