About Edwin, OCT

A certified educator teaching math and science in an Ontario publicly funded school with over a decade of valuable tutoring experience. My Honour Bachelor of Science degree specialization is in Advanced material chemistry at the University of Ottawa. I have experience in all math and science curricula from BC, Alberta, and Ontario, both one-on-one in-person and online tutoring.

About the lesson

A unique take on tutoring by first taking a diagnostic assessment on my student's level.

Next, I will share a personalized site for my students and me to share resources and questions and build successful study habits.

The lesson structure is divided into three parts.

1. There is a mind-on activity about a question addressed by the student.
2. Direct instruction points out the key concepts/skills and keywords required for success. Furthermore, diverse scaffolding examples will be analyzed to build my students' confidence.
3. Finally, I will share an exit assessment with my student, and my student will create a summary chart.

After the lesson, I will share an overall comment to improve the quality of the student's tutoring experience.
