About Hannah

Hi! I'm Hannah, a certified South Carolina elementary teacher with seven years of classroom teaching experience. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of helping students develop strong academic foundations while building the confidence to tackle new challenges.

One of my favorite parts of teaching has always been getting to know each student as an individual. I believe learning is most successful when children feel supported, encouraged, and comfortable asking questions. My goal is to create a positive environment where students aren't afraid to make mistakes, because that's often where the greatest learning happens.

Whether your child needs help mastering a difficult concept, staying on top of homework, preparing for a test, or simply gaining confidence in reading or math, I'm committed to meeting them where they are and helping them reach their goals.

I offer both in-person and virtual tutoring for students in grades K–6, and I look forward to helping your child discover that learning can be both successful and enjoyable!

About the lesson

Every child learns differently, and I believe the best tutoring happens when lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs. As a certified elementary teacher with seven years of classroom experience, I've worked with students of all ability levels—from those who need extra support and confidence to those looking for additional challenges.

I provide in-person and virtual tutoring in reading, writing, math, homework support, study skills, and test preparation for students in grades K–6. During our first session, I'll take time to understand your child's strengths, areas for growth, and learning style so I can create lessons that are engaging, supportive, and effective.

A typical lesson includes a quick review of previously learned skills, direct instruction with guided practice, hands-on activities or problem-solving, and opportunities for independent practice while receiving immediate feedback. My goal is not only to help students complete assignments but to build the confidence and understanding they need to succeed in the classroom.

Having taught students both in the classroom and through virtual learning, I'm comfortable creating engaging online lessons that keep students involved and learning from home. Whether we meet in person or online, I strive to create a positive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing into confident learners.

Parents can expect a patient, organized tutor who values communication, celebrates progress, and works to make learning a positive experience.
