About Rafa

I’m Rafa, a certified Systemic Master Coach and the person behind LOOK AGAIN – The Story Behind Your Story.

I completed my coaching training at KISA Akademie in Berlin, covering life, business, conflict, couples and intercultural coaching. My focus is on attachment patterns, relationships and the way we treat ourselves.

LOOK AGAIN is an invitation to question the stories we’ve come to accept about ourselves—and get curious about what might be behind them.

“That’s just who I am” might help you sleep at night, but I’ll probably still ask provocative questions.

My style combines attentive listening, direct questions and dry humor. I’m comfortable with uncomfortable silence, and I won’t rush you to an answer just to fill it.

As a gay man who grew up in a conservative religious environment, I also bring a personal understanding of the tension between belonging, other people’s expectations and being your authentic self. Questions around sexuality, faith and identity are welcome here.

About the lesson

Different relationship, same conflict. Saying yes when you mean no. Wanting someone closer, then pulling away when they actually come closer.

In our sessions, we look at the patterns you keep finding yourself in—both in your relationships and in how you treat yourself.

We can explore:
• Attachment patterns, including anxiety around distance and discomfort with closeness
• People-pleasing, boundaries and difficulty saying no
• Self-worth, shame and persistent self-criticism
• Breakups and difficult relationship decisions
• Communication and recurring conflicts

My approach is systemic: we consider your relationships, early experiences and the meanings you give them today, rather than looking at one reaction in isolation. Through conversation, reflective exercises and tools such as Nonviolent Communication, we explore what keeps a pattern going and what you could do differently.

You can come individually or as a couple. You don’t need a perfectly defined goal—we can start with whatever feels difficult to untangle.

Germany-based. Sessions take place ONLINE in English, German or Hungarian. A free 30-minute introductory conversation gives us space to discuss what brings you here and whether we’re a good fit.
