Hi! I’m Sophia, and I love helping students build confidence and reach their goals in languages and science. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages (with a minor in Biology) and a Bachelor of Education, and I’m currently completing my Master of Education. I’ve studied and taught in both Canada and Brazil, where I completed advanced Portuguese studies at the Universidade Federal do Paraná and earned CELPE-BRAS certification (Advanced Level). I also grew up learning German and achieved the C1 Sprachdiplom (Advanced Level). Over the years, I’ve taught students of all ages—from kids to adults—in English, French, German, Portuguese, and Science (Biology). In my lessons, I make learning approachable and enjoyable. I like to break down tricky topics into simple steps, use real-life examples, and help students feel comfortable asking questions. My goal is to create a supportive space where every student feels capable and motivated to succeed. Whether you’re working on verb conjugations, improving your writing or speaking, or tackling Biology concepts, I’ll help you understand the material and feel confident every step of the way!
