About Makenna

Hi! I’m a certified teacher who specializes in supporting students in Grades 4–10 across math, science, social studies, and language arts. I’ve always loved learning—but school wasn’t always easy for me. Growing up with ADHD, I often felt frustrated and misunderstood in the classroom. That experience shaped who I am as a teacher today: patient, creative, and deeply committed to helping every student realize their potential. I understand that no two learners are the same, and I use flexible, personalized strategies to help students build confidence, master tricky concepts, and tap into their unique strengths. Whether your child needs help catching up, staying focused, or simply believing in themselves, I’m here to offer encouragement, structure, and results that last. Each lesson is designed to be engaging, supportive, and tailored to your child’s learning style—with clear goals, consistent routines, and plenty of positive reinforcement. I’m not just here to help with homework—I’m here to help students feel successful, motivated, and proud of what they can achieve.
