About Elizabeth
Hello! My name is Elizabeth, and I am a certified elementary educator currently teaching fourth grade while completing my Master’s degree in Educational Psychology. I hold teaching certifications in Texas, Alabama, and New York for Early Childhood through 6th Grade education.
I have experience working with students from preschool through middle school in reading, writing, math, science, homework support, and study skills. My classroom experience allows me to understand how to meet students where they are academically while helping them grow in confidence and independence.
I pride myself on being patient, encouraging, organized, and dependable. I understand that every child learns differently, so I create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence in their abilities.
As both a current classroom teacher and tutor, I stay familiar with modern curriculum standards, instructional strategies, and ways to keep students engaged. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them feel successful and motivated to learn.

Hi! My name is Elizabeth, and I am a certified elementary teacher currently teaching fourth grade while also completing my Master’s degree in Educational Psychology. I have experience working with children from preschool through sixth grade in subjects including reading, writing, math, science, homework support, and study skills.
My teaching approach focuses on making students feel comfortable, supported, and confident while still challenging them to grow academically. I believe every child learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to fit each student’s individual needs, learning style, and pace. I use positive encouragement, hands-on activities, guided practice, and interactive learning techniques to keep students engaged and motivated.
A typical lesson usually begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by targeted instruction on the skill we are focusing on. We then practice together using examples, games, visuals, or problem-solving activities before students independently apply what they learned with my support. I also make sure to include time for questions and confidence-building throughout the lesson.
What sets me apart is my real classroom teaching experience combined with my strong understanding of child development and learning strategies. Because I currently teach in an elementary classroom every day, I understand state standards, current curriculum expectations, and the academic challenges students commonly face. I strive to create lessons that are both effective and enjoyable so students not only improve academically but also build confidence in themselves.
My lessons are best suited for preschool, elementary, and middle school students who need extra support, enrichment, homework help, test preparation, or individualized instruction in core subjects.
