About Luciana
Science became my focus while working through my Bachelor of Science in Chemical Physics at the University of Alberta, and it has stayed that way for 13 years. Having worked with 418 students, I find myself constantly refining how I teach lab and practical work alongside conceptual learning. I emphasize chemical bonding, electrochemistry, and reaction mechanisms because these are the areas where most students tend to lose their way. Usually, a typical lesson starts with a diagnostic test for every student before we begin so I can see exactly where your knowledge sits. It feels honest to say that I prefer structure over fluff, so do not expect me to sugarcoat the difficulty of the material. My background in Chemical Physics means I approach these sessions with a focus on core principles rather than simple rote memorization. I demonstrate the underlying logic of chemical reactions so you can apply your knowledge to any test question.
