About Jonathan
First, effective teaching is student-focused, in which students bring their previous experience may be in school or work environments or day-to-day activities and then help them to change their schema(the old way of reasoning) to align with current knowledge and development. I will allow students to drive the learning process through thought stimulating activities that will effectively engage/her throughout the session, to encourage and experience deep learning. I will move my student from theory to practice to enjoy the lesson. To achieve this, I need to set clear and achievable expectations, create a supportive environment, and be open and approachable regardless of gender, nationality etc. There is also the need to assess what they have learnt by setting assessment tasks, which could be questions, poster presentations or research. It is pertinent to mention here that both summative and formative assessments are required to help learners to reach their targets. As a teacher. I need to give feedback to the student on what they need to improve and what they have done well so they can reach their target.

My style involves first deeply understanding the theory behind concepts and then putting it into practice. I put an emphasis on problem-solving and being able to adapt to different question styles. I am flexible and can easily adjust my teaching methods to suit your needs. The foundation of my commitment is to help out my students, whatever their abilities may be. I have been tutoring and teaching for 8 years in various settings – tutoring small and large groups, and private and individual tutoring.
