About Joanna

Struggling with Chemistry? You’re not alone and I can help.

I have a PhD in Polymer Science and a BS in Chemistry, along with years of industry experience where I saw first hand how Chemistry drives innovation. But I also know how confusing it can feel in the classroom. That’s why I focus on breaking complex topics down clearly, without judgment.

Whether you're prepping for the MCAT, AP exams, or just trying to pass General Chemistry, I bring patience, real-world context, and a student-first approach to every session. My goal is to help you understand Chemistry, not just memorize it.

Let's make Chemistry less overwhelming and maybe even fun. Reach out to schedule your first session! It's free!

About the lesson

I tailor each lesson to your specific goals whether you're tackling General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or preparing for standardized exams like the MCAT or AP Chemistry.

We’ll start by identifying your current challenges and what success looks like for you (a higher grade, passing an exam, or mastering tricky concepts). Then, I’ll build a customized learning plan with clear milestones and strategies to help you get there.

Lessons are interactive, supportive, and designed to build your confidence as well as your understanding. We’ll work together to turn Chemistry from a source of stress into a subject you might even enjoy!

Loved working with Joanna so much. It was a time that I was really struggling with the class, and she helped me raise my grade from a 47 to an 84. The end of that semester and achieving that grade is still one of my proudest academic moments. She's super easy and fun and cool to work with!
