About Bella
My passion for chemistry developed through curiosity about the transformations and interactions of substances in nature and the laboratory. I pursued a B.Sc in Chemistry followed by an M.Sc in Biochemistry to gain expertise in both chemical theory and practical experimentation. Over 9 years, I have guided learners through a wide range of chemistry topics, helping them develop understanding, analytical skills, and laboratory competence.
I employ a student-centred teaching style, combining interactive explanations, applied problem-solving, demonstrations, and real-life examples to make chemistry accessible, engaging, and memorable. I encourage independent exploration, critical questioning, and practical application while providing structured support to ensure mastery.
Outside the classroom, I keep up-to-date with advances in chemical research, analytical techniques, and industry developments, incorporating these insights into lessons to enrich student learning. Witnessing learners progress from uncertainty to mastery, applying knowledge confidently in experiments and problem-solving, is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work and motivates me to continue teaching with dedication.

My chemistry lessons emphasise conceptual understanding, real-world applications, and practical skill development. I cover organic and inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, reaction mechanisms, equilibrium, thermodynamics, and analytical techniques, integrating explanations with hands-on exercises and relatable examples. Each session encourages learners to engage actively, ask questions, experiment thoughtfully, and connect theory with observation, fostering curiosity and independent thinking.
Beginners focus on understanding fundamental concepts, molecular structure, simple reactions, and safe laboratory practices. Intermediate learners work on stoichiometry, thermodynamic calculations, chemical kinetics, titrations, and spectroscopy interpretation. Advanced learners explore complex synthesis, analytical problem-solving, biochemistry applications, and laboratory research techniques. Lessons are designed to reinforce understanding, provide guided practice, and promote conceptual clarity and confidence.
Chemistry education builds precision, analytical thinking, and systematic problem-solving skills. Students learn to approach chemical problems methodically, understand underlying principles, and apply knowledge practically.
