About Devina
My interest in Chemistry began with curiosity about how substances in nature interact and transform. I completed a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry followed by a Master's Degree in Organic Chemistry. Over the last 7 years, I have worked with students to help them understand Chemistry through simple explanations and structured learning.
I believe students learn best when concepts are explained clearly and connected to real-life examples. My teaching style focuses on patience, clarity, and step-by-step guidance that builds confidence. I encourage students to ask questions and focus on understanding rather than memorisation.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring organic synthesis, pharmaceutical chemistry, and new laboratory techniques. Staying updated helps me bring interesting scientific examples into my lessons. Helping students feel confident in Chemistry is one of the most rewarding parts of my profession.

My Chemistry lessons focus on helping students understand how substances interact, change, and form new compounds in simple and clear ways. I teach topics such as atomic structure, bonding, periodic trends, acids and bases, stoichiometry, and reaction types using everyday examples and visual explanations. Instead of memorising reactions, students learn the reasoning behind chemical behaviour. Step-by-step problem solving helps make learning more approachable.
Each lesson is adjusted based on the learner’s level and academic goals. Beginners focus on building strong foundational understanding, while intermediate learners strengthen calculation skills and equation balancing. Advanced students work on reaction mechanisms, organic pathways, and deeper conceptual questions through structured practice. Regular revision ensures long-term understanding and steady improvement.
Chemistry builds logical thinking and careful observation. My goal is to help students feel confident in solving chemical problems and understanding laboratory concepts. With clear explanations and supportive guidance, learners discover that Chemistry becomes easier and more interesting over time.
