About Tavisha
I am a Chemistry tutor with over 5 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Medicinal and Biological Chemistry. I specialize in helping students understand and apply analytical chemistry techniques with confidence. My focus areas include chromatography, spectroscopy (NMR, IR, UV-Vis), and titrations. I’ve guided many students through complex instrumentation by breaking down concepts into simple, practical steps. Whether it’s learning how to run a sample or interpret spectral data, I make sure students feel comfortable and supported. I also help learners strengthen essential skills in experimental design, data analysis, and quality control. My sessions are tailored to the individual needs of each student. I work with chemistry lab students as well as those preparing for careers in research or quality assurance. I use real examples to connect theory with lab practice, helping students build both knowledge and confidence. Many of the students I support are from microbiology and genetics backgrounds. I help them understand the chemical basis of their lab techniques and experiments. I explain how data is collected, interpreted, and used to make decisions in quality control and research settings. My sessions are interactive, with a strong focus on helping students understand why each method matters.
I work closely with students in Genetics and Microbiology, helping them link chemical principles to their laboratory techniques. Whether it's preparing buffers, reading chromatograms, or designing experiments, I provide clear guidance every step of the way. I support learners in gaining confidence with instruments and analytical tools.
