About Áine

I am a firm believer that understanding concepts is key to learning! If you understand rather than ‘learn by heart’ you can tackle any problem because you know exactly what it is you can do and where your knowledge is lacking: building from the ground up.

I love to help people understand concepts to get to a level where they feel confident that if they were to undertake an exam/ test etc. that they would be able to draw upon their understanding and not feel panicked if they cannot remember what they have ‘learned’. I feel this is so important for a subject like chemistry, which when approached in this way can be so accessible.

I am very patient and want to help people in a non-judgemental environment. It does not matter one bit to me what ability/level you are and no question is silly if knowing the answer will develop your understanding. I just want to help you get to the best of what you can do!

About the lesson

** Unfortunately, at the moment I am fully booked for Primary School Maths and JC Maths (OL & HL) supports. I will only be able to take Chemistry students (LC OL, LC HL and University levels). My apologies! **

~ Can cater for once off help with a particular topic / more regualar tuition!

~ Length of lesson can be tailored to your needs but typically would be 1 hour.

~ Distill wealth of information down to what you need to know.

~ I am a recent Medicinal Chemistry Graduate from Trinity College Dublin (entered as a Chemical Sciences student where I started from foundational chemistry and built up. As part of the course I also did maths modules.)

~ I have experience working with children.

Chemistry level:
~ Leaving Cert. (H & O Levels) (€40 per hour)
~ University level (€50 per hour)
~ Adult / Casual (€40 per hour)

Maths level:
~ Primary school (€30 per hour)
~ Junior Cert. (H & O Levels) (€30 per hour)
~ Adult / Casual (€40 per hour)
