About Tristan
I have 9 years of experience teaching Chemistry, helping students understand complex concepts while developing practical competence and analytical reasoning. I earned a B.Sc in Organic Chemistry, which equipped me with in-depth knowledge of molecular interactions, reaction mechanisms, and experimental techniques. Throughout my teaching career, I have guided learners from foundational concepts to advanced chemical problem-solving with patience, clarity, and engaging instruction.
My approach focuses on connecting theory with practical application. Chemistry becomes meaningful when learners understand how molecules interact, reactions occur, and principles connect to real-world applications. In my lessons, I cover atomic theory, bonding, reaction kinetics, stoichiometry, acids and bases, thermodynamics, organic reactions, and laboratory experimentation. I emphasize reasoning, problem-solving, and hands-on understanding, encouraging students to ask questions, explore ideas, and engage actively in the learning process. Lessons are structured to build both conceptual clarity and practical skills.
I design lessons according to the student’s level. Beginners develop foundational knowledge, simple calculations, and basic observation skills. Intermediate learners focus on reaction mechanisms, equilibrium, solution chemistry, and analytical exercises. Advanced learners tackle spectroscopy, experimental design, complex synthesis, and problem-solving strategies, reinforcing mastery and confidence. Each session includes guided exercises, discussion, and constructive feedback to ensure understanding, retention, and analytical growth.
Studying chemistry nurtures critical thinking, logical reasoning, and systematic problem-solving that are essential for academics, research, and professional careers.
