About Tony
I graduated in May 2025 from NC State University with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and a minor in mathematics.
In my undergraduate, I did research in an organic chemistry lab for three years. I worked on an antimicrobial drug, on developing new methods for reductive pyridine (a fishy smelling heterocycle) functionalization, and a fluorescent dye (glows under UV light). I also completed 18 hours of graduate chemistry coursework, mainly in advanced organic chemistry and chemical biology.
As a student, I had some really great professors & some professors whose approach really didn't work for me. I also struggled to sit still in classrooms & focus for long lecture periods.

I'm happy to tutor for any ASU chemistry course and math courses up to multivariable calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations.
Open to students at Lees-McRae and Caldwell as well.
My approach focuses on harnessing your unique strengths, adapting material to your learning style, and creating an environment suited for learning.
My goal is to adapt concepts and material from class, so it clicks in your brain. I can prepare study materials with various study methods, provide material to prepare for exams, and work through challenging concepts so you stay ahead in class.
Everyone learns differently. Chemistry courses are unfriendly to many students when they seem abstract, or require lots of memorization, or apply unfamiliar equations. My specialty is in making your courses feel intuitive as we work through homework and study for tests.
