About Fox
Professional Chemist with years of experience teaching and working in industry. BSc in Chemistry, with an emphasis in Biological Chemistry. I have been teaching Organic Chemistry I & II, General Chemistry I & II, and Quantitative Chemical Analysis at the University of Utah for almost 4 years. I teach lecture and discussion sections, as well as laboratories. I love working with students and helping others to recognize the big ideas of chemistry, and helping students develop practical skills which can help them solve problems and produce high-quality lab data.

I give students straight-forward help with topics they may struggle with, while also building up a strong foundation of central ideas and techniques. Lessons are oriented around student needs - every professor teaches a course differently, and I aim to teach alongside your coursework. Typical sessions begin with a discussion of the current material and student understanding, followed by one-on-one explainers where we work together to develop a full understanding of the content. Then, we work through problems together to ensure that students can apply what they've learned and can succeed in their coursework and exams. I primarily teach at a college-level, and I am happy to help motivated high school students as well. I can't wait to work with you!
