About Jesse
"Teaching is often about knowing when to stop talking and start listening to how a student perceives a reaction. I have found that students thrive when the mystery of stoichiometry or periodic table trends is stripped away in favor of clear, logical sequences.
Over the 11 years I have spent in the classroom, I have had the privilege of working with 187 students. My path through a PhD at UC Berkeley taught me that complex thermochemistry is just a collection of smaller, explainable pieces. Whether we are tackling equation balancing or deeper organic chemistry, I remain your steady, patient guide. Helping you navigate these subjects is my primary objective, and I look forward to supporting your progress."

"Admittedly, the most effective chemistry sessions are those where we strip away the intimidation factor and look at the actual mechanics of the science. It provides a relief to see these concepts laid out in a way that makes sense, which is exactly how I structure my sessions using my background as a PhD candidate. We will move through organic chemistry and thermochemistry with a focus on building your independent confidence. Equation balancing and stoichiometry often require a structured hand, which I provide.
A homework module is assigned with every lesson to ensure you have a clear path forward. Since I have taught 187 students, I understand exactly where you might get stuck. Please know that I am fully invested in making sure the periodic table and its trends become second nature to you."
