About Mighila
Hi, I'm Mighila — a Master's graduate in Chemistry with a real passion for the subject and how it explains the world around us, from why things react the way they do to the science behind everyday materials. I've spent the past 3 years tutoring students in GCSE and A-Level Chemistry, and what keeps me doing it is simple: I love the moment a concept finally "clicks" for someone who was stuck on it.
I decided to start tutoring because I remember how confusing Chemistry felt at times when I was studying it myself — the equations, the abstract concepts, the sheer volume of content. I wanted to be the tutor I wish I'd had: someone patient, clear, and genuinely invested in helping students not just memorise facts, but actually understand the subject.
My Master's study gave me a deep, thorough understanding of Chemistry well beyond GCSE and A-Level content, which means I can explain concepts with real confidence and context — helping students see the bigger picture, not just what's needed to pass an exam.
Outside of tutoring, I stay curious about developments in science, which helps me bring real-world relevance into lessons rather than just working through a syllabus. I'm approachable, encouraging, and I take real pride in watching students grow more confident with every session.

I teach GCSE and A-Level Chemistry, covering all major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR). Every lesson starts with identifying exactly where a student is strong and where the gaps are, so no time is wasted on topics they've already mastered.
For parents: you'll get clear visibility into progress — I track performance against exam board mark schemes and can give regular updates so you always know how your child is doing and what we're focusing on next. Lessons are structured and consistent, not ad-hoc, which means steady, measurable improvement over time.
For students: no boring recitals from a textbook. I break down tricky topics — moles, equations, organic mechanisms, whatever's causing the confusion — into clear, manageable steps, using diagrams and real-world examples that actually make sense. We work through past papers together so you know exactly what examiners expect, and I set short, focused homework to reinforce what we've covered, without piling on unnecessary work.
