I’m a Chemistry tutor with over 7 years of experience and an MSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, specializing in corrosion chemistry and protection methods. My passion lies in bridging theoretical principles with practical industrial applications, making complex topics both accessible and engaging. Over the years, I’ve guided students through the fascinating science of electrochemical corrosion mechanisms, helping them understand how and why materials degrade.
In my lessons, I emphasize passivation techniques, explaining how thin protective layers can drastically reduce corrosion rates. I also cover cathodic protection methods in detail, exploring how they are applied to pipelines, ships, and offshore platforms. Material selection for corrosion resistance is another cornerstone of my teaching, where we evaluate metals, alloys, and coatings for their performance in different environments.
