About Gia
My interest in chess began with a fascination for patterns, logic, and the psychology behind decision-making. This curiosity led me to study Behavioral Science and Strategy, where I explored how individuals analyze complex situations under pressure. Over 11 years of teaching, I have guided learners of various ages, helping them develop both technical skill and mental resilience through chess.
I approach teaching with patience, structure, and empathy. I believe students improve most when they feel encouraged rather than judged. My lessons focus on building independent thinkers who can analyze positions calmly and learn from mistakes without frustration. I adapt explanations carefully to match how each student processes information.
Beyond teaching, I stay connected to chess through study, analysis, and observing competitive play. These experiences help me bring depth and clarity into lessons.
