About Amine
My name is Amine Atmani. What I enjoy most about teaching chess is helping students understand their choices, recognize their mistakes, and discover better ideas for themselves.
I take a thoughtful, structured approach to teaching. I make time to understand your level, your goals, and the challenges you face so that our work fits your needs. You should feel comfortable asking questions, explaining your thinking, and making mistakes without fear of judgment. Those mistakes give us a starting point for improvement.
I encourage focused effort while respecting your pace. You will understand what we are working on, why it matters, and how to keep practicing between sessions.
I do not promise shortcuts. I offer a clear learning plan, thoughtful explanations, and a supportive environment where you can deepen your understanding of chess and enjoy making progress.

My teaching starts with your games. I analyze them to identify recurring mistakes, habits, and areas that need attention. From there, I build a learning plan tailored to your level, with clear goals.
I focus on understanding rather than memorization. Instead of simply showing you the best move, I ask you to explain your thinking: what did you notice, which options did you consider, and why did you choose that move? We then develop your decision-making skills through carefully selected positions and exercises.
A typical lesson begins with a review of your recent games or the exercises you have worked on since our previous session. We then explore a specific topic and put it into practice. We finish with a recap and clear guidance for your next steps.
What sets my approach apart is the connection between our lessons and your independent practice. Each session gives you direction, while the work you do between lessons helps reinforce what you have learned. I provide structure and guidance; your commitment is an essential part of the process.
My lessons are for motivated young learners, beginners who want to build strong foundations, intermediate players who feel stuck, and advanced players looking to refine specific aspects of their game.
