About Mabel
I am a patient, approachable and responsible tutor who genuinely enjoys the Chinese language and hopes to share this interest with my students. I am a native Chinese speaker from a Chinese-speaking family, with my family roots in China, and Chinese has always been a natural and meaningful part of my life.
As a recent O-Level student, I understand the challenges students face and can relate to them from a student’s perspective. I aim to keep lessons engaging and enjoyable through humor, relatable examples and interactive activities, while maintaining a professional and focused learning environment. I believe learning does not have to be boring to be effective!
I have also participated in various school events, leadership activities and programs, and have accumulated relevant certificates and experiences that have helped me develop my communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
I am committed to preparing lessons carefully according to each student’s needs and creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and improving.

I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs using clear explanations, guided practice, interactive activities and exam-style questions. I focus on building both confidence and a strong foundation in Chinese. Lesson will include oral, comprehension, composition, and speaking.
My lessons are typically 1–1.5 hours, depending on the student’s level, age and learning needs.
Qualifications: Recent Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level graduate with A1 in Chinese, with additional experience studying Higher Chinese and Chinese Literature. Strong foundations in comprehension, composition, oral communication, vocabulary and grammar.
Lessons for: Primary and Lower Secondary students, including students preparing for school examinations. As a recent student, I can relate to common learning difficulties and share practical examination techniques and study strategies.
