About Victoria
Hello! My name is Victoria, and I’m a sixth form student at Christ’s Hospital, a respected UK private boarding school. I have a strong passion for Maths and English, having achieved very strong GCSE results in these subjects, and I’m excited to help you prepare for your 11+ exams. I want to teach because I believe every student can succeed with the right support and guidance. I enjoy explaining concepts clearly and patiently, and I’m committed to creating a positive and encouraging learning environment where you can feel confident and motivated to reach your goals. My experience volunteering and working with children has taught me how to adapt my teaching style to suit different learners, making sure lessons are engaging, fun, and effective. My Approach to 11+ Maths and English Tutoring I offer engaging and supportive online 11+ tutoring in Maths and English, tailored to each child’s individual learning style and goals. My approach combines clear explanations with active practice, helping students build confidence, accuracy, and exam technique. Each lesson is carefully structured: I begin with a short review or warm-up, then teach key topics using worked examples, followed by guided and independent practice. I focus on building strong foundations in arithmetic, problem-solving, grammar, comprehension, vocabulary, and creative writing. I also teach students how to approach tricky questions and manage their time under exam conditions. Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and include regular progress checks and optional homework for consolidation. I’m currently a sixth form student at Christ’s Hospital, a leading UK private boarding school, and achieved very strong results at GCSEs which included all A/A*, including Maths and English. My experience supporting younger pupils and working with children through volunteering and childminding has strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly, patiently, and in a way that children enjoy. My tutoring is aimed at Year 4 to Year 6 students preparing for the 11+ entrance exams to grammar or independent schools. All lessons are delivered online, making them accessible and flexible for families across the UK.
