About Raiane

I have been working as a Portuguese/English tutor for a little over eight years now. I began tutoring after my high school teacher's invitation to assist her and other people who were struggling with Portuguese lessons to take public exams and another subjects.

Realizing my interest and pleasure in teaching, my teacher helped me to get an English scholarship and I concluded it with a certification. At first, tutoring was a way to build a supplemental income, but I ended up loving it so much that I just continued doing it. In fact, it was a very advantageous association.

Some of my greatest strengths are that I am very energetic, persistent and patient. I lean on these qualities heavily while I am tutoring. I think this energy helps keep students engaged and motivated with the material, and that persistence and patience allows them to move at their own learning pace towards achieving their goals, which are also mine.

Hi everyone!

I'm Raiane, a native speaker of Brazilian Portuguese with solid communication, writing and reading skills, whether in Portuguese or English. I have always lived in Brazil, more precisely in the state of Minas Gerais and I am really interested in the opportunity to provide tutoring services for you!

I have worked as a language tutor and Portuguese/English teacher for 8+ years. I love doing it even though I have a degree in Civil Engineering. I am a newly graduated.

Also, translating, writing and proofreading are my hobbies and these, after a lot of practice, have become a specialty.

At first, my classes are destined to adults (18+) due to my experience with the age group.

Regarding the level of knowledge required in the languages I teach, my classes are independent of that. Whether basic, intermediate or advanced. I will be ready to assist you.

I am totally available to help you, pretty detail-oriented and I can pick up on any errors you might not have noticed, whether they are big or small. During my classes, I will give you a lot of feedback on how to make your communication more effective.

Regarding foreigner students, I would like you to sound like a native! And it will be like this. Trust me! For the native Portuguese speakers students, it is exactly the same, because:

I always take the time to get to know my clients and their needs thoroughly before starting on any project. I would like our lessons to be as pleasant as the learning process is. This ensures that I’ll create content that aligns with your goals and expectations.
