About Aubrey

I have been about three grade levels ahead of my actual grade level in ELA classes since first grade. When I reached high school, I was immediately put into AP (Advanced Placement) English/Language Arts classes. It might seem like I've always enjoyed reading and writing, but surprisingly, that's not the case. I used to despise reading. I would cry every time my parents made me read a library book I had gotten from my elementary school. But I then realized that I actually enjoyed reading. I frequently used books as a short escape from reality as I got older, and I still do to this day. There are so many books out there, and I believe that if you don't have a favorite book, then you need to keep looking. Since I absolutely love reading and writing, and I also love helping others, I decided to start tutoring. I am open to feedback; and if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to reach out!

About the lesson

Hi there! My lessons are all about helping you feel confident and capable in your reading, writing, and communication skills. Whether you're tackling a tough novel, preparing for an essay, trying to boost your grades, or whatever else it is you may need...I’m here to make the process easier—and a lot less stressful.

In our sessions, we'll break things down in a way that actually makes sense. We'll work on skills like essay writing, analyzing literature, improving grammar, and building stronger arguments, all through clear explanations, real examples, and interactive activities. I keep my lessons relaxed, supportive, and tailored to what you need, so you always feel comfortable asking questions and trying new things.

My goal is to help you succeed in class, prepare for upcoming tests, and feel more confident using the skills listed above every day. We'll work together at your pace—and hopefully even have some fun along the way!
