About Fergus
I am a Classical Archaeology and Ancient History postgraduate, looking to embellish and broaden the approach of new students to the subject. I want to inspire new modes of thinking, and demonstrate how a study of the ancient world can give an insight not only into human history, but the entire human condition.

My teaching method is non-traditional, as is what I teach. I encourage heated debate, passionate defence of any thought process, and creativity within a usually restrictive field. I disagree with much of the current etic approach to history, and want to find students that are willing to push the boundaries of what studying the ancient world can actually do for us, today. I will encourage comparative thought processes, and give an epicentre to the art of the ancient world in order to encourage a genuine passion for the marvels that we can still see.
