About Cassidy
I'm a musician and composer, and I've been making music since the age of six. I'm currently a student, but I've been giving private lessons in several disciplines in music for five years. While I can teach anyone of any skill level, I'm especially great with kids. No text/music purchase needed, I'll send you pdfs of all the material I want you to use!

Music lessons are difficult to approach unless you know the skill level of your student. So if I have a student with some experience, the first lesson is usually a diagnostic one where I listen to whatever they can play, ask questions, and determine the skills that need the most work or would be the most valuable to learn. I also realize that people have different goals in mind, so I can alter my teaching goals and methods to suit their preferences. Some people want to be virtuosic classical pianists, and some people want to be able to play along with pop songs while their friends sing along. There's room for all here :)

My rates don't vary by skill level or age of the student, all are welcome! Note that I'll never ask you to purchase materials for these lessons, but if there is a specific piece of music you want to learn to play and I don't have it, you'll be required to purchase it or find it online. I can help when it comes to free sheet music resources, but not everything will be free. As a composer myself, I am a strong believer in paying for music that's not old enough to be public domain. We have to bring home the bacon somehow, haha.
