About Hannia
Hi! My name is Hannia and I have been playing the flute for 8 years! I have played with all kinds of musicians playing all kinds of music and having all kinds of fun while doing so. I believe music is a magical gift to have and I love helping other people be able to experience that for themselves. The flute is a beautiful and unique instrument that demands time and patience, and I know you have the potential to be the best musician you can be!

I focus on building good habits and giving students multiple ways of learning a piece of music or practice techniques! Musicians learn at different paces and in various ways, so it's important to find out what method works for you and why. I also like building realistic goals that can help push students to their fullest potential by using positive constructive criticism and regularly utilizing "brain breaks."
I was the flute section leader in my high school and college wind ensemble. I have played in multiple community wind and orchestra bands. I have experience playing throughout the Southwest and Chicago area. In those ensembles, I was given the privilege of being able to teach beginner and intermediate players. From teaching people how to read music and flute fingerings to helping people figure out difficult musical passages, it is always fun to see players learn and grow!
