About Jared
I've been playing and teaching trumpet professionally for ten years and worked with hundreds of students at all stages of musical development. My students have gone on to study and perform at the highest levels both in the United States and abroad (specifically in the UK and Hong Kong).
I was an all-state musician in High School. I earned my Bachelor of Music Performance, summa cum laude, from the University of Kentucky. I hold a Masters and am pursuing a Doctorate from the Eastman School of Music.
I have performed with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, the Skaneatles Festival Orchestra, and Mountainside Baroque Orchestra. I am well versed in classical, contemporary, jazz, and popular music styles.

My teaching focuses on finding the easiest way to play the trumpet for each student. The goal is to learn to play as efficiently as possible to avoid injury and enable a lifelong relationship with the instrument.
Lessons will be offered via Skype, Zoom, or other video conference platform of the student's choice.
Lessons can be entirely live via video conference, or may include review of a pre-recorded video for the sake of quality observation.
